The SWMED Project aims to promote, in each of the participating countries, policies aimed at satisfying water and sanitation needs of the population whilst reducing water abstraction and improving the quality of water bodies receiving wastewater.
The next SWMED’s Management Board and Steering Committee will be organised by Svi. Med in Ragusa, Sicily on the 17th-18th March 2014.
The multilateral cross-border cooperation "Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme" is part of the new European Neighbourhood Policy and of its financing instrument (ENPI) for the 2007-2013 period: it includes the European Union and partner countries regions placed along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
